Hedera is a high-performance public network and distributed ledger built on hashgraph rather than a traditional blockchain. Its gossip-about-gossip consensus and virtual voting model provide strong aBFT security, fast finality, high throughput, and very low fees while remaining energy efficient.
Hedera supports tokenization, EVM-compatible smart contracts, and a consensus service for logging data and events. Governance by a council of major global organizations, along with enterprise-oriented use cases in payments, tokenization, identity, logistics, and IoT, makes it attractive for large-scale commercial products.
