Description of Osmosis

Osmosis is an independent Layer 1 blockchain and DEX appchain built on Cosmos SDK, serving as one of the main DeFi and liquidity hubs of the Cosmos ecosystem. Through IBC and its AMM architecture, Osmosis enables cross-chain swaps and liquidity management across many sovereign chains.

Beyond being a DEX, Osmosis is a programmable blockchain suitable for building DeFi protocols, swap interfaces, analytics products, and liquidity tools. Features such as configurable pools and Superfluid Staking make it especially attractive for advanced liquidity strategies.
