THORChain is an independent Layer 1 blockchain and cross-chain liquidity protocol that enables direct swaps between native assets such as BTC, ETH, ATOM, and AVAX without wrappers or centralized intermediaries. Built on Cosmos SDK, it uses liquidity pools and protocol-level economics around RUNE to power permissionless cross-chain exchange.
Its main advantages are native asset swaps, transparent AMM pricing, and support for wallets and interfaces that let users keep control of their funds. THORChain is well suited to multichain wallets, DEX interfaces, payment routing, and liquidity analytics products.
