A British man plans to buy a landfill in hopes of recovering 7,500 BTC.
James Howells has been trying for 12 years to recover a hard drive containing 7,500 BTC (≈$738 million), which was accidentally thrown away at a landfill in Newport.

The authorities decided to close the landfill and build a solar power plant on the site, but Howells has not been granted access to continue the search. The court rejected his claim, considering his offer to share 10% of the recovered funds a form of bribery.
Now he is ready to buy the site with the help of a hedge fund, and if that fails, he plans to launch a crypto project with NFTs and tokens to finance the search. Howells is confident that the crypto community will support him.
