Description of Zephyr

Zephyr is a series of models from the Hugging Face H4 team (Zephyr-7B-α/β), created as a “small but very useful assistant.” It is based on Mistral-7B, and the models are fine-tuned on a mix of open and synthetic dialogue datasets using Direct Preference Optimization (DPO), which provides strong alignment with human preferences and solid results on MT-Bench and other dialogue-quality tests. Technically, Zephyr is a 7B decoder model with a context window of several thousand tokens, tuned for dialogue: good instruction following, a polite and helpful style, and resilience to complex prompts.
