Description of MongoDB

MongoDB is a document-oriented database designed for storing large volumes of unstructured data. It uses the BSON format, a binary extension of JSON, which allows documents of various structures to be processed quickly. Thanks to its scalability and high performance, MongoDB is often used in modern web applications where flexibility and fast data access are required.

MongoDB architecture enables horizontal scaling through sharding and also supports replication, ensuring fault tolerance and data availability. This makes it suitable for projects where both the volume of processed information and its availability are critical. MongoDB is actively used in projects related to big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), analytics, and microservice architecture.
