Centralized crypto exchange (CEX) development
We offer end-to-end development of turnkey centralized crypto exchanges (CEX), covering the entire process from architecture design and security to a convenient and intuitive interface with integrated payment gateways.
Features
Our solutions deliver high performance, stability, and scalability, fully meeting modern digital asset market requirements.
Our order processing engine is built on a microservices architecture, where each trading pair is supported by a separate cluster. This makes it possible to process up to 100,000 transactions per second with a response time of under 1 ms, maintaining stability even under high load.
We apply multi-layer protection, including cold storage of funds, two-factor authentication, and advanced user behavior analytics powered by machine learning. Separate isolated wallets are also provided for automated risk management, along with integration with leading Threat Intelligence services to prevent sophisticated cyber threats and fraud.
We support dynamic fee accrual based on turnover, NFT statuses, and referral programs. The exchange administrator can configure discounts and penalties on the fly, as well as set limits by country, IP geo, and customer types.
Our designers create modular components in React/Vue with support for live charts, drag’n’drop orders, and customizable dashboards. Users get instant responsiveness, smooth animations, and an adaptive interface for different devices and network conditions.
Each component (order-matching, wallets, KYC modules, web server) is deployed in a Kubernetes cluster with autoscaling based on Prometheus metrics. CI/CD pipelines with canary deploys and feature flags ensure seamless updates without downtime.
We connect more than 20 payment providers worldwide (SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments) and implement end-to-end verification processes via Jumio, Onfido, or our own OCR algorithms. All data is encrypted and stored in accordance with GDPR and PCI DSS.
technologies
what we’re good at
Our team has more than 5 years of experience building crypto exchanges and wallets, as well as ISO 27001 and SOC 2 certifications. We ensure projects comply with SEC, FCA, and local regulator requirements, minimizing risks when launching across different markets.
From in-depth analysis of business requirements and prototyping to multi-level testing (unit, integration, security) and post-release support. Each client gets a dedicated team including a project manager, DevOps, an analyst, and developers, as well as an SLA contract with a guaranteed recovery time.
We work with Scrum/Kanban in two-week sprints, provide demo releases at the end of each sprint, and promptly implement changes based on your feedback. We use transparent task-tracking tools (Jira, GitLab) and daily stand-ups for efficient collaboration.

CEX exchange development FAQ
What components make up a CEX exchange?
The core is the matching engine and order book; around it we build a wallet service with cold storage, KYC/AML modules, fiat payment gateways, the trading interface, a trader API, and an admin panel.
Do you build the matching engine yourselves or use an off-the-shelf one?
We develop our own matching engine: it runs in memory, supports limit, market, and stop orders, and processes tens of thousands of trades per second. This gives you full control over the logic and performance.
How do you attract liquidity at CEX launch?
We integrate external liquidity providers and aggregators and configure market-making bots on your pairs, so spreads and order book depth are maintained from day one.
How are user funds stored?
The bulk of assets is kept in cold wallets with multisig, while hot wallets are topped up automatically within limits. Large withdrawals go through multi-level approval.
Can the exchange accept fiat?
Yes. We integrate card acquiring, bank transfers, and payment providers suited to your jurisdiction, including automatic reconciliation of deposits and withdrawals.
What is the timeline for launching a CEX?
An MVP with a matching engine, spot trading, and KYC is usually ready in 4–6 months; margin trading, derivatives, and mobile apps come next. We provide an exact plan after agreeing on the requirements.
